Access to this coffee exists only through Daye Bensa's curated expertise and unwavering dedication. They have navigated the considerable challenges of coffee growing and exporting in the region with remarkable success. Today, they stand as a reference for excellence and resilience in Ethiopia, partnering with diverse communities of out-growers and operating multiple washing stations throughout the Bensa, Sidama area. Their quality credentials are unmatched: 7th place in the Cup of Excellence in 2020, 8th place in 2021, and 2nd place in 2022.

-The JARC 74110 & 74112 Coffee Varieties, were varieties developed by Jimma Agricultural Research Center (JARC). and introduced to Ethiopia in 1971 as a movement to test and select coffee trees that have good disease resistance for farmers to grow. The number signifies: 74 (years that the coffee seeds were collected) and 158 (varietal number).
*JARC 74110 coffee variety stands out for both its high test scores and yields. This was demonstrated in several international coffee competitions, notably a 74110 coffee lot from an Ethiopian farm that achieved a high position in the 2021 Cup of Excellence. With a diverse and complex flavor profile, including notes of raspberry, red grape, and orange.
*JARC 74112 coffee variety is known for its balanced profile with floral and citrus notes, often described as having a delicate and refined flavor. It may also exhibit hints of white peach, apricot, and bergamot.

Honey Process Details
For the Honey process, fresh red cherries are pulped to remove the outer skin, leaving some mucilage intact to develop sweetness and complexity. The coffee is then dried on raised beds for 12 to 13 days, with careful monitoring to balance flavor and moisture before storage and export.
